What Is Outpatient Addiction Treatment?
Outpatient treatment for addiction is the least intensive level of care available for treating drug and alcohol use disorders as well as mental health disorders. Unlike our IOP and PHP, our outpatient drug rehab center is focused on helping clients remain sober rather than reach sobriety.
Our outpatient programs require fewer session hours and time at the facility, allowing the individual to spend more time on their families, school, and careers. These programs also serve as excellent transitional forms of care, helping the individual as they integrate back into their day-to-day lives outside of rehab.
Deciding which form of addiction treatment is right for you depends on where you are with your recovery and how you’d respond to treatment. For instance, individuals who have not yet undergone medically assisted detox would benefit from starting with residential or PHP care, rather than outpatient treatment.
Additionally, no two people are the same. This means what works for one person may not work for another. To determine the best treatment plan for clients, our specialists and medical team conduct a clinical assessment to determine the nature of the individual’s addiction, whether they have a support system at home, any underlying mental health disorders, and other factors that need to be addressed in treatment.
